Kelli and Bill Nixon started shooting weddings in 2005 with the goal of artistically capturing and retelling wedding stories.  We feel that it takes a special connection to really capture the essence of the day.  That connection begins with our first contact with our clients and extends many months and even years after the wedding day.

Kelli has a great love for people and that love shows in her artistry.  She can really capture a moment because she lives the moment with the couples.  Constantly focused, Kelli is looking for that little look, that glance, that tear.  She scans events for stories and stories within the story.  Her desire is to fully connect through the lens to the couples who she works with.  Kelli is a natural photojournalist which really shows in her images.

Bill is a technical artist focusing on the lighting, framing, composing and composition of his shots.  His passion is in the details of the wedding day.  He loves to get the tripod,  and uniquely capture the details of the reception and location. He is also a natural photojournalist, preferring to shoot wide shots which show an action or emotion and others’ reaction to that emotion.  These images have won the hearts of many couples around the country in the many places where he has shot.

Bill’s design skills keep him busy designing books for their wedding clients.  He is the chief designer for all of the lay-flat books that are sent out of the Studio.  Clients enjoy a keepsake, heirloom book that Bill knows their families will enjoy for many decades.

Kelli and Bill, when teamed up, are a photography force to be reckoned with.  They love to combine their unique skills to produce stunning, emotional, and story-telling images for couples who they work with.
